Product Description
The coloring book that parents are caught coloring in! The whole family will love the imaginative hoopla that originates from these clever pages. This is no ordinary coloring book! With playful drawings, funny scenarios and fun-to-follow instructions, this unique coloring book is not just for coloring, but for doodling, drawing, imagining and thinking! Here the art on the page is just the start - you finish each page design by yourself. *Note each page has a partially completed picture. You complete the picture from the wildly creative side of your imagination. The following is a sampling of the directions you'll find inside. (Be visual here. Remember the pictures are all partially drawn, the rest is up to your imagination.) Draw 2 clowns. One on the ball and one on the horse. Make these dinosaurs howl or breathe fire. Wham! It's a fly ball! Draw the person who's going to catch it. Color this bird with bright colors. Draw the passengers on the bus. These shoes are very dirty. 5 out of 5 stars Fun For All Ages   July 5, 2010
Joey
This is far from your average coloring book. The simple tasks stimulate creativity and encourage you to think outside the box. This would be a great book for not only a child, but also a creative adult. There are hours of fun to be had, and a lot of great drawings to be done!

3 out of 5 stars so entertaining, even for an adult   April 19, 2010

I feel partly like a child and partly as if I were an artist when I take out my Scribbles Drawing and Coloring Book. This has lead to countless hours of fun and de-stressing after a long day. Perfect to tote around if I know I'm going to be waiting anywhere, although it certainly isn't light. A great purchase!

5 out of 5 stars Inspires creativity   February 23, 2010

My daughter saw these at the bookstore and absolutely had to have them all. I told her she could, but that I would have to find them somewhere cheaper.($19.99) So, I did! I found them here at an awesome price, and she loves them. I was worried that they would hinder creativity because each page has a sort of direction on it, but it was not the case at all. The child is able to interpret in any way they desire, and the outcomes are beautiful and revealing. Very high quality books. We both love them.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome coloring book, that actually gets children creatively thinking!   December 1, 2009

I am an elementary art teacher and normally I would stay far away from the mundane coloring book, but this is NOT your normal coloring book.
This book provides children with prompts from which they can come up with their own ideas of what to draw. It is not simply a "see the picture. color it in." book. It sparks critical thinking and creativity. I would recommend this book to anyone with kids who like to draw at all.
This book, Scribbles, in particular has some activities in it that will apply to some of the things children of about 4 - 6 will be learning in their school curriculum. That doesn't mean it is only good for those ages though. If you buy this book, I can almost promise you'll love it... plus you can't really beat the price for the number of pages it gives you.

Scribbles: A Really Giant Drawing and Coloring Book

Have ever looked at a blank page and wondered what to draw but had no inspiration? Have you ever looked at a coloring page and wondered thought that there wasn't room to be creative? This book is a coloring book/drawing book with enough pages to keep you occupied for years. Each page has something drawn on it and instructions for you to complete the drawing, adding your own details and objects. I purchased this book for a young girl who likes to doodle. I also have one for myself. Crayons or colored pencils work best for these page. I would not recommend markers, as they do bleed through the page. Also, Place a blank piece of paper under the previously colored page so that color won't transfer to the next page by pressure.
The Scribbles book is really fun, and a great gift for anyone who loves to draw. Best for ages 8-14 is my guess. but I am over 50 and enjoy it.
